The Camera Club has supported the hospital for a number of years, donating new photos for the wards each year.

Images are specially chosen by children from neighbouring primary schools including Windsor, Richmond and Freemans Reach Public Schools.

The children are invited to vote for their top 25 photos at an annual competition hosted by the Camera Club from a large selection of high quality images.

Hawkesbury District Health Services Perioperative Services Manager Sonia Jones attended the annual competition evening.

“The children take great care and pride in selecting the photos, especially in knowing that they will be helping other children who may find themselves in hospital” Sonia said.

“Animals, including ponies and puppies proved to be a popular choice together with landscapes and some very creative colourful images”.

Hawkesbury District Health Services Director of Mission Integration Martin Teulan reflected on the value the photos bring to the hospital.

“The photos bring much joy and brightness to our young patients, their families and our caregivers and we thank and acknowledge the Hawkesbury Camera Club for their ongoing support” Martin said.
