Ms Bonev, most recently working in the mining industry, has more than seventeen years of global corporate human resources management, leading large teams in workforce planning and recruitment, employee engagement, occupational health and safety, HR operations and industrial relations.

As Group Director Workforce she will have responsibility for the development and implementation of St John of God Health Care’s people strategy and organisational design and oversight of all group-wide workforce functions.

St John of God Health Care Group CEO Dr Shane Kelly said that Ms Bonev was selected because of her extensive experience in working across large and complex geographically diverse organisations with a strong emphasis on culture and values.

“St John of God Health Care is one of Western Australia’s largest non-government employers, with a diverse and complex workforce providing health care, social outreach and disability services in Australia and New Zealand," he said.

“Carla has outstanding experience as a strategic HR leader and advisor, with hands on experience and a skillset well suited to our organisation. She will be a great addition to our leadership team.”

Ms Bonev said she was looking forward to commencing her new role at St John of God Health Care.
