Dr Michael Stanford, Group Chief Executive Officer of St John of God Health Care and Anne Russell-Brown, Group Director Social Outreach & Advocacy attended the awards ceremony at Melbourne’s Grand Hyatt Hotel on Wednesday 25th August.

St John of God Health Care, a leading health care provider primarily known for its private hospitals and pathology services throughout Australia and New Zealand, were amongst a strong field of candidates.

Dr Stanford said that he was thrilled that the organisation’s community work, through its Social Outreach & Advocacy services, had been recognised in this way.

“We are extremely proud of the work that our dedicated team of staff have achieved in this area, which involves many varied services reaching out to people experiencing disadvantage,” said Dr Stanford.

The organisation dedicates 2% of its eligible revenue to operating sustainable SOA services and since the program’s inception in 2002, over $120 million has been committed to helping people in areas of identified need.

St John of God Health Care's Social Outreach & Advocacy services include community mental health and alcohol and other drug initiatives in WA, Victoria and NSW; youth services in WA, Victoria and Christchurch, New Zealand; disability services in Victoria; and a significant international health program reaching out to our nearest neighbours.
