The graduation ceremony, at St John of God Subiaco Hospital, focused on the achievements of each nurse and the opportunities available to them for further employment, education and training.

St John of God Subiaco Hospital Graduate Registered Nurse Bethany Randall spoke at the ceremony and shared her reflection on her first year as a nurse.

“We are the first on scene when a patient has a medical emergency and we show compassion to our patients at the bedside. I really wish our families could see us in action,” she said.

“And that brings us to today, the day we look back on the year had. Through the ups and downs, we have come out the other side, strong and passionate for what we do.”

The graduate nurses completed a range of clinical rotations over 12 months, with a range of experiences offered in medical, oncological, post-anaesthetic care, surgical, palliative care and mental health units.

Our recent graduate nurses included:

44 registered nurses
