Professor Allan Wang is a specialist shoulder and upper limb orthopaedic surgeon. He has particular interests in arthroscopic reconstruction techniques for rotator cuff tendon injury, dislocation of the shoulder joint and total shoulder replacement.

He is actively involved with research and teaching and is a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Western Australia and Adjunct Professor in the School of Sport Science and Exercise and Health at the University of Western Australia.

Professional service includes current President of the Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia (SESA); past Scientific Secretary of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (2012-2015) and past Chairman of Continuing Education for the Australian Orthopaedic Association (2007-2011).

Prof Wang continues to lecture, and publish in international journals and completed a PhD in 1998.

His current research interests include innovative cellular therapies for tennis elbow and shoulder tendon injuries, and rehabilitation after shoulder surgery.
