Disability services

People with a disability represent a diverse group. They include people who were born with a disability and those who acquire disability during their life through accident, ageing or illness.

As part of a commitment to capacity building within our communities, St John of God Health Care operates disability services in Victoria, New South Wales and New Zealand.

Intellectual disability

In Melbourne, we operate St John of God Accord, a major provider of support services - across 38 sites - for people with an intellectual disability.

Residential care

Other Social Outreach and Advocacy Services supporting people with a disability include two residential support facilities for people with physical and neurological disabilities, aged between 16 and 65 years, at Halswell Hospital, Christchurch and St John of God Wellington in New Zealand.

Our Casa Venegas service in Sydney provides accommodation and support for people with chronic mental illness who would otherwise be homeless.
