Over his 33 years as an obstetrician, Dr Clark has delivered 6,600 babies into the world and is ready to welcome a new chapter in his life – retirement.

Director of Medical Services Dr Stuart Prosser said Dr Clark has been an instrumental member of the hospital’s Family Birthing Unit.

“Dr Clark was Head of the Department for 15 years and has been actively involved in hospital committees. He has shown great commitment to training of the Unit having established our successful education program for obstetricians, paediatricians and midwives. He will be missed immensely,” says Dr Prosser.

His bow ties, love for acronyms and ability to make a mean BLT sandwich will also be missed.

Dr Clark shares a personal connection to the hospital, having welcomed his own two children at St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital.

Family forms a central part to his retirement.

“I’m looking forward to spending time with my family, some travel, and maybe a little bit of golf,” says Dr Clark.
