From greeting and escorting patients and visitors to providing companionship and support on the wards and in the Emergency Department, our volunteers work in a variety of roles to assist members of the community.

Why volunteer?

We value the skill and experience of each volunteer.

Being a part of the volunteer team provides you with the opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives of people who may be at hospital for surgery or procedure or to visit a loved one.

You will also meet and work with other fantastic caregivers. We regularly gather as a volunteer team for various development and social activities.

Becoming a volunteer

We usually call for applications to fill specific volunteer positions and you must be over 18 years of age to apply.

Through the volunteer recruitment process, we will aim to match your skills, interests and abilities to the requirements of the roles.

You will be required to participate in our orientation and training programs at the hospital to ensure you can perform your role safely and in accordance with our Values.
