Veterans' affairs

In your time of need we pledge to provide you with a place of hospitality, seeking to help you feel at ease during your stay with us.

As a Tier 1 hospital we have a special partnership with the Department of Veterans' Affairs enabling eligible patients to be admitted to our hospital without prior approval from Department of Veterans' Affairs. All you need to do is ask your doctor to admit you to St John of God Ballarat Hospital.

A social worker is available as part of the Discharge Planning Team and can assist you with access to services while you are in hospital and when you are discharged.

Veterans also have access to community veterans liaison officers and legacy and war widows representatives for further assistance if required.
