About Pomegranate House
What we do
We provide psychotherapy which is a treatment
where you work with a therapist towards understanding your
difficulties so as to find new options. People come to
psychotherapy because they find life distressing in some way. They
may want to understand why things are the way they are in their
lives and how to make changes.
We see people who
- Experience depression, anxiety or any other
mental health problems.
- Have difficulties with work, life and
relationships.
- Have tried antidepressant treatment and/or
other strategies and feel they need something more.
How we work
You will be offered a session once a week, at
a regular time.
You will be encouraged to talk about what is
most on your mind at the moment. We do not give advice or teach
skills, but assist you to understand the problem and to find your
own solutions.
The process of psychotherapy may take some
time. We continue working with you for as long as it is useful.
Fees
We charge low fees based on your income.
Our Intake Worker will discuss the fee with you or you can contact
us to talk about your fee.
Training
Pomegranate House is involved in the training
of psychotherapists. This means that you may be working with a
psychotherapist in training. All trainees have completed
undergraduate degrees and many have completed post-graduate degrees
in psychology. They all receive weekly supervision from our more
experienced psychotherapists.
