Our Service Ethos
Know our Vision to grow our Mission
Our Vision
We live and proclaim the healing touch of God's love where we
invite people to discover the richness and fullness of their lives,
give them a reason to hope and a greater sense of their
dignity.
In practice we advocate for the most equitable system of
disability support possible, both within the service itself and
throughout the sector. We constantly review and
develop practices and policies so that they do not
disenfranchise any person we support or staff member. We contribute
to a different and better way of offering our service every day and
in doing so recognise that our Vision remains at the forefront of
any decision-making process.
Our Mission is then put into action through practice that is
always motivated by our Vision. With our five core Values
in place to guide us, our service is as contemporary as
possible.
Our Mission
St John of God Accord continues the healing mission of Jesus
Christ through the provision of services that promote
life to the full by enhancing the physical, intellectual, social
and spiritual dimensions of being human. Like our Vision, our
Mission and Values are part of all our endeavours. We encourage
staff to view Accord as a community of people with a common
purpose, providing respect, compassion, understanding and mutual
support for one another.
Our Values
Our Values-based approach helps us know the Vision to grow our
Mission. Like the burst open pomegranate (the symbol in our logo
and an eloquent symbol of generosity), we are abundant in our
self-giving for others. Through our service and our five core
Values, we strive to help people come to fullness of life.
