Volunteering
Become an Accord Volunteer today
We have a recruitment process in place to match volunteers to
specific positions. This helps us to:
- Learn more about you
- Appreciate your current skills and experience
- Determine why you want to volunteer with St John of God
Accord
- Make sure we inform you of what is required of you as a
volunteer
If we do not have a volunteering opportunity available when you
apply, we will keep your details on file and contact you when an
opportunity arises. If you are interested in volunteering please
contact our Corporate Office on (03) 8804 4600.
Our Op Shops are always looking for volunteers
A bargain, a treasure, a bit of conversation and a coffee to
match. What more could any Op Shop volunteer ask for? For some of
our volunteers, being located in a shopping complex next door to a
local community cafe is even better, to grab some time with fellow
volunteers for a cuppa and good conversation. Working in any of our
Op Shops will give you a great opportunity to engage with the
community.
St John of God Accord is always looking for enthusiastic
volunteers to work in its Greensborough, Croydon, Wandin or Burnt
Bridge Op Shops. No experience necessary, although we do
encourage you to visit our Service Ethos pages within this website
to better familiarise yourself with our Vision and what it means to
the people we support, our survival as a support service and our
heritage.
People interested in volunteering should enquire about
volunteering via our Op Shop Manager on (03) 8804 4600.
Need more information?
We are just one of the 700,000 not-for-profit
organisations that rely largely on volunteers, in our
case to contribute to the success of our four Op
Shops.
We hope the Op Shops are
a doorway to experiencing the rewards of working and
contributing to the disability sector. If you are interested in
volunteering and wish to obtain specific resources and information
to help you build your knowledge base, extend your networks and
stay in touch with the issues impacting on the volunteering sector
as a whole as they emerge, please click on the link
