Patients' Rights and Responsibilities

Rights and Responsibilities

Our philosophy at St John of God Subiaco Hospital is to respect your individuality and dignity, and to care for you hospitably and compassionately. We also recognise the role of carers and are committed to a collaborative, inclusive approach in planning and delivering your care. Throughout this charter we refer to our staff as caregivers because we believe that each staff member, regardless of their role contributes to your health and wellbeing.

As a patient at St John of God Subiaco Hospital you have rights and responsibilities. These are consistent with the Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights and it is important that when you are partnering with us in your care, you are aware of your rights and responsibilities.Patient in theatre
