Surgicentre
The Murdoch Surgicentre is
a specialist stand alone day hospital built to encompass the
growing demand for day surgery as a convenient and popular
alternative to a stay in hospital. The Surgicentre is licensed by
the Western Australian Department of Health as a 23 hour Day
Hospital.
It is a joint venture between the Surgeons on the Murdoch
Orthopaedic Clinic and St John of God Murdoch Hospital.
The Surgicentre is accredited by the ISO 9001:2008 and is a
member of the Australian Day Hospitals Association and Private
Hospital Association of Western Australia.
We are dedicated to providing high quality, safe and efficient
care to patients undergoing procedures at our facility.
The Surgicentre is a surgical unit with no private rooms.
Visitors are kept to a minimum due to accommodating the privacy
of patients.
The day hospital is located south of the Perth CBD and is on the
campus of St John of God Murdoch Hospital, which is easily
accessible by car and public transport.
The facility currently comprises of two operating
rooms, two trolleys, six beds and six recliners.
Throughout 2010 Murdoch Surgicentre will undergo refurbishment,
improving the facilities for the extended stay patients.
The Murdoch Surgicentre cares for both adult and child
patients.
