Visiting hours

We welcome you when you come to visit your family or friends during their stay with us. There are several things you should be aware of to ensure your visit is safe and enjoyable for you, as well as for the person you are visiting, other patients and visitors, and our staff.

Visitor information

Visitors should check with nursing staff before entering a room.

It may be necessary to restrict the number of visitors and the length of visits in the best interests of patient care. The nursing team will inform you if this is the case.

Children are welcome to visit but we ask that they be under adult supervision at all times.

Infection control

If you have symptoms of, or are confirmed as suffering from an infectious illness, such as a cold or the flu, please do not visit until your symptoms have disappeared.

Visiting hours

Visiting hours vary throughout the hospital. We recommend that all patients rest between 12noon and 2pm and that visitors be kept to a minimum during meal times.

General wards

Visiting: 10am-12noon and 2pm-8pm

Rest Period: 12noon-2pm

Maternity wards

Visiting: 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm

Rest Period: 12noon- 2pm and 4pm-6pm

To enhance the time parents spend with their new born, we ask that you comply with these visiting hours.

We also try, where possible, to accommodate families unable to visit during these times.
