Services at St John of God Hospital Geelong
St John of God Hospital is a medical-surgical hospital with 184
beds, 9 operating theatres and a range of onsite services to
provide excellence in care to the community of Geelong.
We are proud to be part of the Geelong community and provide
both medical and Social Outreach and
Advocacy services to the Barwon South West region.
Pastoral Care is an integral part of St John of God Health Care
and our Pastoral Services team
together with all of our caregivers are here to assist you in a
range of areas throughout various life stages.
Maternity Our experienced
midwives are interested in empowering women and their families,
therefore enabling you to make choices which suit you and provide a
satisfying, safe and happy birthing experience. Should the Special Care Nursery be required we have a
level two nursery onsite.
Both our Admissions Centre and
Surgery Centre offer a range of
short surgical procedures and have been designed to provide the
best facilities, enabling patients to return home on the day of
treatment.
A range of medical specialists including
Anaesthetists, Colorectal Surgeons, Cardiologists, ENT Surgeons,
General Surgeons, Infectious Disease Physicians, Oncologists,
Oral/Maxillofacial Surgeons, Ophthalmologists, Obstetricians,
Gynaecologists, Orthopaedic Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons,
Psychiatrists, Urologists and Vascular Surgeons consult from
suites located at or close to St John of God Geelong
Hospital.
Our pharmacy service is provided
daily from our onsite pharmacy.
Our Critical Care Unit is a
modern, specialised area providing critical and cardiac care
services by highly trained nurses and doctors.
Our Oncology Centre overlooking Corio Bay provides
person-centred care in a spacious, light filled environment for
treatment for outpatients with cancers, blood disorders and a
variety of other medical conditions.
Cafe Costa is located on level
1 and offers a variety of coffee and tea, hot foods and light
refreshments in a pleasant and relaxed environment.
PathCare, a
division of St John of God Health Care offers a collection service
on site and medical imaging facilities are available on site and
provided by Lake Imaging.
