Hospital was established in 1974. The hospital has 184 beds and
provides a range of services including day surgery, medical,
surgical and maternity services, along with a 24 hour critical care
unit and Cath Lab services. On site diagnostic and support services
include medical imaging, pathology, medical consulting suites and a
pharmacy.
Our hospital is a division of St John of God Health Care,
Australia's largest Catholic not for profit private
health care group. As Geelong’s only not for profit private
hospital we are entirely committed to making a tangible difference
to our community.
Opposite the hospital the St John of God Specialist Centre offers the
latest design concepts and technology to enhance day surgery
services to patients in a range of specialties including
ophthalmology, plastic surgery, endoscopy and dental surgery,
ensuring they will receive the best of care locally.
