How to make an appointment

You will require a referral from your GP to see a specialist at our Consulting Suites. To assist our staff in allocating a suitable length of consultation time for you, please indicate to them the type of appointment you require (for example: Is it a general check up? A follow up visit? Or do you have concerns about specific problems?). All your personal information will be handled discreetly and in the strictest confidence.

Consulting Suites opening times

• Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm
• Saturday by appointment only
• SJOG Pathology is available Monday to Friday, 9am - 12:30pm and 1pm - 5pm in Suite 4.

Consulting a specialist

Fees associated with consulting a specialist are partially covered by Medicare. Your private health fund applies to inpatient visits only. In order to claim a Medicare rebate from the Government Health Insurance Scheme, you will require a letter from the Doctor who has referred you. The initial referral is generally valid for twelve months at which time you will need to obtain a further referral. Referrals from a specialist are valid for three months only.
