Volunteering with us
Our hospital volunteers play a vital role
in assisting our community in the provision of services at the
hospital. The focus of volunteer services is to enhance the stay of
patients and their families in making them as comfortable as
possible. Volunteers provide ’extra care’ to patients and give
their time and energies in many selfless quiet ways.
Our volunteers provide the breadth of excellent
services in areas such as:
- Meet & Greet
- Café
- Library Service
- Flower Service
- Ward Support
- Volunteer Drivers
- St John of God Hospital Auxiliary
Auxiliary fundraising activities include
running a gift shop offering a wide variety of gifts, flowers,
cards, toys, jewellery and other items. Stalls and raffles are held
at regular intervals during the year.
