Hospital Substitution
As a licensed outreach provider under the Federal
Government's now discontinued Private Sector Outreach Services
Program, St John of God Health Care has delivered Hospital
Substitution services to eligible privately insured people within
Western Australia since 2001.
With the introduction of the Broader Health Cover legislation in
2007, St John of God Health Care continues to provide Hospital
Substitution services by collaborating with health insurance funds,
our hospitals and other private hospitals in Western Australia and
Victoria.
Processes are in place to ensure patients receive the "right
care, at the right time and in the right place" under the
supervision of a medical specialist and with input, where required,
from a multidisciplinary team of health care professionals.
