Cardiac services
When you need cardiac care, you don’t want to wait. Our private cardiac care service at St John of God Subiaco Hospital offers short waiting periods for elective surgery and medical care. If it's urgent, we'll take action immediately.
We are a trusted cardiac care provider and have been delivering care to our community for over 120 years.
We offer a complete range of cardiac care including interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, coronary care and cardiac rehabilitation. We also use the latest techniques and equipment, including minimally invasive surgery.
Our cardiologists work in partnership with pathologists, radiologists, physiotherapists and nurses to provide diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible. If you need urgent care, our dedicated chest pain service operates 24/7, 365 days per year.
You can access a range of treatments at our hospital, which is equipped with the latest cardiac equipment. This includes cardiac and vascular catheter laboratories where we perform procedures such as angiography and pacemaker surgery.
St John of God Subiaco Hospital also offers Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) procedures.
The TAVI procedure is a minimally invasive surgery that offers people with aortic stenosis - a narrowing of the aortic valve opening – an alternative option to avoid open heart surgery.
This is a popular option for older patients as it is a minimally invasive procedure which offers improved recovery times compared to alternative treatment.
We have performed thousands of cardiac procedures for more than 30 years in association with Western Cardiology, a no gap provider.
