They can provide individual support and therapy, refer you for admission to the hospital, or refer you to our outpatient or day programs at our Counselling and Therapy Centre.
Making an appointment
To make an appointment with one of our consultant psychiatrists you will need a referral from a general practitioner (GP).

On the day of your appointment
Please present at the Specialist Medical Centre reception, who will notify your psychiatrist that you have arrived.
On your first visit, you will need to fill in necessary paperwork. Please arrive ten minutes early to do this before being directed to your psychiatrist’s office for your consultation.
After each appointment you will be directed back to the main reception to settle your account.
What to bring
- Referral letter from your GP
- Medicare card or Department of Veterans’ Affairs card
- Credit card/cash to pay for your consultation
