We encourage visitors to spend time with our patients while in hospital and take advantage of these spaces when visiting.

We ask that you consider the wellbeing of our patients and caregivers when visiting the hospital and please consider delaying your visit if you are unwell. Children under the age of 12 must be supervised at all times.

Smoke free

St John of God Midland Private Hospital is a smoke free hospital. Our buildings and grounds are smoke free to create a healthier, cleaner and safer environment for patients, visitors and caregivers.

Smoking is not permitted in any building, outdoor area or vehicle within our boundaries.

Access

The private hospital’s entrance is located off Centennial Place, adjacent to visitor parking and the train lines.

In an emergency, attend the co-located public hospital’s Emergency Department, accessible via Clayton Street.

The hospital is located about 800m from the Midland Train Station and Bus Station.

The hospital is separated into five levels. Each level has a number, name, colour and symbol associated with it to help you find your way around the hospital. The private hospital wards are located on level 3.

Family support

Being in hospital and ill can be a stressful experience. Our pastoral practitioners provide confidential and professional support to address your spiritual and emotional needs, whether you are a patient or visiting a loved one and can be accessed in times of need. Ask your caregiver for more information.

Telehealth

Telehealth offers the ability to access care from the home, work or other private space without the need for a face-to-face appointment.

St John of God Health Care uses both phone and video call to connect you to your healthcare providers.
