Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is a treatment to help you change or overcome problems by talking openly with a therapist. We work closely with you to help you find strategies to address your concerns.

Our psychotherapy program provides you with access to therapists from a range of backgrounds including psychology, social work and psychotherapy.

We work with you to help you understand and find solutions so you can cope with any challenges or issues you may experience.

Who can access psychotherapy?

You may be referred to our psychotherapy service if you are finding life distressing in some way and want to understand your current situation and how to make changes.

You may be referred by your general practitioner (GP) to our service because you:

  • experience depression, anxiety or any other mental health problem
  • have difficulties with work, life and relationships
  • have tried antidepressant treatment or other strategies which are not meeting your needs.

Through our programs, you can learn how to work through your own solutions to any problems you are having, developing a better understanding of why you think or act in a way that isn’t helpful.

We may work with you individually, or with your family or support network.
