Getting here and parking
Access
Lower ground entry is currently closed, please enter via front entrance only.
Patients with mobility issues can access the hospital via ambulance bay - please follow the signs posted on the lower ground entry and use intercom for assistance.
Parking
A large free carpark is available next to the hospital. It provides direct and flat pedestrian access to the side entry of the hospital. Allocated car parking is also available for patients outside St Francis House. Free 3 hour parking is also available along Thistle Street and Rowan Street.
Our 285 car bays include:
- 12 disabled bays (4 at the main entrance, 4 along Lily st, 3 at the back of the Hospital, access via Thistle st, 1 at St Francis House on Lily St)
- 6 motorbike parks
- 2 DVA parks
- 2 ambulance bays
By car
Access to the hospital by car is via Chum Street or Lily Street (from High Street).
By public transport

Bus - public buses to the hospital leave from various locations including Hargreaves Street. See timetables for the bus line.

Train – trains run into Bendigo from Melbourne and various regional centres. See V/Line timetables.

Taxis - a taxi telephone is available next to front reception.
Patient drop off
There is a drop off point out the front of the main entry on Chum Street.
